Happiness is a Warm Day

It's May and the warm weather has finally arrived in Vancouver. With a long and dreary winter behind us the usually damp and grey demeanor is transformed into a glowing and radiant beauty. Surrounded by water on three sides and nestled alongside the Coastal Range Mountains, the city is alive with activity and lots of things to do. From the snow capped peaks of the North Shore to the inlet waters of Boundary Bay and White Rock, there is always a new adventure in Vancouver. Relax by the one of the many beaches or how about a shopping spree on the trendy Robson Street?

The Natural Life in Vancouver

While Vancouver is known recently for hosting the upcomming 2010 Winter Olympics, it is also known for it's pristine and natural setting. Here in the community of Lynn Valley, North Vancouver, we are surrounded by natural parks and recreation with the busy hustle of downtown Vancouver only 15 minutes away. Now that summer has almost arrived, there are so many things to do. Lynn Canyon Park is only a short walk away with its beautiful and swift moving waters. Seymour and Grouse Mountain are always favorites with the local hikers and mountain bike crowds. If the beach is your thing, you can wander down to West Vancouver's Ambleside Beach or for more privacy take a short drive over to Cates Park near Deep Cove. All around the area is a haven for sailing but my favorite is Howe Sound off of Horseshoe Bay. I would like to encourage anyone and everyone to share their favourite spot of locations that they have discovered about Vancouver's North Shore.
